Feather Edge Panel Fence Installed In Tamworth: Martin Chambers
In January 2021, The Ashdale Fencing Team were called out to a job in Tamworth. The job was to replace an old, worn-out, wooden panelled garden fence. As you can see from the picture below, the fence has seen better days. It was covered in lichen and was rotten in several places.
The existing fence, was no longer an effective property border, as some of the fence posts had rotten through causing the panels to fall over onto the adjacent pavement. This not only looked scruffy, provided poor security but was also a risk to passers-by, as it was causing a slight obstruction.
The homeowner wanted a replacement fence that would be in keeping with the current style of his street and also be long-lasting.
Strong Feather Edge Panels
When we attended the property, we broke the old fence up into manageable pieces, ready for removal. We then cleared away the weeds and undergrowth that had sprung up directly underneath the fence.
We broke the ground with a small pneumatic drill, an essential piece of kit for every fencing contractor. Then we began to level the ground, ready for the footings for the new fence. We replaced the wooden foundation of the old fence with nice new feathered edge panels with Concrete Gravel Boards and posts. The posts are grooved, making it easy to slide in the panels and secure them. If they should ever sustain any damage, they are easy to replace.
As you can see, the new fence looks a lot better. It will last for years, and if the panels should sustain any damage, they can be easily replaced. In addition, the panels provide more privacy for the homeowner as they are about a foot and a half taller than the previous ones.
